We had a couple of days to fill in between two different stops on Yorke Peninsula in South Australia & stopped at Point Turton. We took pot luck as it was a long weekend & we were exceptionally pleased we made the stop. Over the phone the office team were most welcoming & when we arrived. Malcolm was out at the entry as if he knew we were arriving & as we had a very tight sit just inside the gate & a large van he gave us "left hand down, RHD, etc. & we'd slotted in like a charm (we don't suggest to these generous people we know what we're doing as they know their Parks better than we do!!). Well, while the weather became a bit rough (who cares?), we had great walks , plenty of time to read & most certainly enjoyed the views.
Great hospitality Malcolm. The history of Point Turton is fascinating. Add it to your exploration list, do your own homework & stay longer to explore, as well as taking it part of "Walking the Yorke".
