We love this particular area of Brittany and have been searching for 10 years to find the perfect holiday cottage, well, finally, we have found it!
The house is very warm, cosy and well insulated (important as we always visit in early Spring). The kitchen is modern and very well equipped, including large pots for cooking langoustines and spider crabs. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable - there are proper comfy chairs and a sofa (which can be quite hard to find in most French holiday homes) and the dining table easily seats six (there is also another table and chairs in the kitchen). Importantly for us, the cottage is dog friendly too. The garden is enclosed so dogs can roam freely, and parking is off road in the garden area with secure gates.
There is just one bathroom downstairs (separate toilet) - the photos don't show it but there is a separate shower cubicle as well as a bath. There is also a toilet upstairs for those middle of the night visits! There's a washing machine and tumble drier, although we didn't use them. Wifi was excellent.
Loved the location, just a few steps from the beach which is sandy and rocky. Good boulangeries in Lesconil (2+ miles - you could easily cycle on the provided bikes) and Loctudy. Fresh fish catches are available in both locations too. We like both the bars in Lesconil overlooking the little harbour. The SuperU at Plobannalec is very good, Lidl is further along just north of Guilvenic.
It was really nice to have a full price quoted which included electricity, cleaning and bed linen. Only extra was for bath towels.
We found the cottage to be very good value and hope to return again next Spring.
