I was recommended here by a friend and it’s didn’t fail to disappoint. On arrival you are greeted with a warm welcome and offered to have drinks at the bar. A fast selection of wine and spirits.
We ordered while at the bar which was informal and staff were well informed on the menu, offering great recommendations.
We opted for main and puddings.
Our mains came out and they were stunningly presented and plentiful. We had the seared tuna and lamb. Everything was well seasoned and complimented each other. The main portions were a good size almost not leaving enough time for dessert.
Desserts again beautiful presented the cheesecake was rich & chocolaty. The lemon posset was disappointing this wasn’t set and was a liquid soup proving very hard to eat, without making a mess.
There was a great initial lemon flavour but it didn’t last and was masked by the cream resulting in a heavy dessert. Not light & refreshing as one hoped.
Would certainly return but would recommend booking as it’s not a large restaurant. Parking is a nightmare with lots of narrow streets to navigate.
