“Quiet little beach”
Review of Ao Kwang Peeb

Reviewed 6 April 2018 via mobile

Cozy little beach that's perfect for throwing down a towel, lying back and enjoying the scenery. The sea is beautiful and perfect for a lazy swim, right next to it is a comfy looking bar / restaurant that we didn't have the time to visit.

Thank Matt W

Our favorite!
There is enough shadow to settle and enjoy! Almost nobody (we saw max. 20-30 person at the « rush jour »).
You need a motorbike to go there and a little bit of walking if you don’t want to go down the small path with motorbike.

We walked here via a trail through some virgin forest. It is all spectacular at the top north of the island. A small, pristine, clean beach that fits the bill as a cover for a holiday brochure. A beach to relax on, very quiet and not much going on there. Worth the effort to get there.

ao kwang peep is beneath ao jai the only beach on which it is possible to swim during high and low tide, but ao kwang peep is much more nicer than ao yai. the beach is located at the northend of the island with view to the neighbour island koh chang. the beach is maybe 200 meters long and a nice beach rstaurant, which offers good food and fantastic fruitshakes is located at the center of the beach.
the beach itself slopes gently to the sea and the powdery lightgrey sand is very soft during the sunbath. big rocks are spreaded in the colourful water and make the beach more interssting, in the lush vegetation in the back of the beach area a few beach houses are hidden, which are accomodation of the monkey resort, the only one on that beach.
the atmosphere was very relaxed every time we were there during our two week stop in koh phayam. everything was peaceful and quiet.
the second name of ao kwang peep is monkey beach, because a lot of monkey are hanging around in the trees and they are very interested in the bags and backpacks of the beach visitors. nothing should left open on the beach during swimming.
because ao kwang peep is located at the northcoastside of koh phayam it is not a good place for the sunset. there is no sunset. but the northend of ao khao kwai is very near and during ten minutes it is possible to change the location when sunset is near.
we can recomment ao kwang peep very much. every time we had a lot of fun with the monkeys, the staff of the beach restaurant and the beach visitors also. when we are back in koh phayam we will go to ao kwai peep again for some lazy afternoons on powdery sand and in crystalclear water.

Nice small beach.I was there at low tide so plenty of shade under the trees. The restaurant seems nice as well (just had a fruitshake)You can also do some proper swimming wich at the other beaches specially at khao kwai is not possible. The best about this beach is ,no sandflies contrary to the other beaches!
