We arrived late from our delayed flight. We were met by a warm and friendly host. The property is delicious in its eclectic interiors. A delta blues soundtrack with holywood artefacts and sumptuous luxury rooms charms us on arrival. We feast on local produce and informed pairings of cheese, chestnut honey, meat and local wine. Reloved furniture and a gorgeous garden make breakfast a memory to linger on. Onwards to our 'middle eastern' destination. Don't miss this special place!
We had the most amazing stay at the beautiful Manoir Laurette. Lora and Rob went out of their way to make our stay truly relaxing and were the perfect hosts. Our Gyspy Queen room kept our eyes and senses amused and dazzled for days and frankly the bathroom was better than some hotel rooms! The breakfast was simply scrumptious. The only downside was that we had to leave!
Thank you Rob and Lora and we hope to see you again soon
We had such a lovely stay at Lora's beautiful Manoir last month. From the moment you arrive, her attention to detail, warmth and passion are evident. The rooms are sumptuous, warm and wonderfully furnished with interesting and eclectic pieces. The views through the original Large French windows of the surrounding countryside are stunning yet peaceful.
I don't know where to start with the breakfasts - they were utterly sublime - my husband commented it was the best granola he'd ever eaten, he loved the pancake stack and we both enjoyed fabulous scrambled eggs and mushrooms - all cooked with locally sourced, wonderfully fresh ingredients. We ate dinner at Manoir Laurette twice during our stay too and we're not disappointed, again beautifully prepared locally sourced fresh delicious food prepared with flair and passion.
Nothing is too much trouble, one of the best stays we've had in France (or anywhere!). And when you go, don't forget to walk around the gorgeous grounds - tranquil and relaxing. We didn't get a chance to have a dip in the pool, but we will be going again...can't wait!
We stayed here for three days and were treated like kings. The owners Lora and Rob are not only the perfect hosts but fabulous company. Their warmth and inpecable taste are reflected in this beautiful manoir. The place is filled with quirky antique furniture and charming bric a brac. Each room having its own unique feel and aesthetic. Ours was the Icon Room part Hollywood glamour part French chic. The bath room was equisit, with a stand alone bath that looked out on the rolling vineyards of the French countryside. The breakfast was out of this world compromising of much delicous local produce. The house sits majestically
in sumptuous gardens which are filled with ancient trees, blooms, blossoms and even a swimming pool. Coming from London Manior Laurette was an oasis of calm in rural France with just enough of a touch of British eccentricity to make us feel at home.
We had a wonderful stay in this quirky but luxurious b and b and would highly recommend. We still talk of the wonderful, comfortable nights sleep we had there which had us checking out where the linen and duvet were from the next morning ! Beautifully appointed bathroom and great bath and shower. We were served a super delicious steak meal in front of a blazing wood burner a most fantastic romantic experience Locally sourced exquisite breakfast Fantastic hosts. If you are in the area you should visit.
