A lovely traditional french house. The house has generous rooms, with plenty of facilities. We wanted for nothing while staying here. There's a bbq, dishwasher, washing machine, bikes, windsurfing equipment..!
It's based in a beautiful quiet village with local shop, resturant and bakery. Best of all there is a wine cave about 50 metres from the house! Lovely!
Lots of places to explore near by and some lovely beaches. We particularly enjoyed the local markets.
We hope to come back soon to this beautiful quiet part of the world soon!

“Quintessentially French property in a lovely part of France”

The property was huge, well maintained, clean and tidy. It was situated on a lovely typically French village street. The property itself was over over three floors. The bedrooms are up a beautiful stone staircase, which eventually leads to an essential outside roof terrace. The house was spotless, with extra showers and/or basins in the bedrooms. The kitchen is very well-stocked.

The village has all you need if you don't want to travel far (grocery store, boulangerie, post office and restaurant/bar). If required larger supermarkets can be found nearby.

We both had great fun exploring the area by foot and on bike, and even took in some windsurfing! The scenery is stunning, dramatic views all around.

We both had an amazing time and cannot wait to return.

“Lovely holiday in Peyriac”

We spent a happy week in this house. It's a big house, well equipped. We especially enjoyed the terrace, 3 floors up but sheltered from the windy (which tends to be strong on this coast). The attractive village has several shops so that one can buy all day-to-day essentials. Several markets ànd beaches are in easy reach, besides the spectacular Pyrenees. You need a car in this area.

“Beautiful, quintessentially French property in a pretty village”

The house, Gites de mounts, was huge - laid out over three storeys, plenty of room for a big family like ours. The bedrooms are up a beautiful stone staircase, which eventually leads to an essential outside roof terrace. The house was spotless, with extra showers and/or basins in the bedrooms. The kitchen is very well-stocked.
Gites de mounts is on an attractive, typically French village street - all the properties are tremendously characterful and well-kept. The residents are friendly and helpful.
The village has a useful grocery store, boulangerie, post office and restaurant/bar. There are nearby towns for other conveniences, but also well worth a visit in their own right. Carcassonne is particularly special, only a short drive away. The scenery is stunning, dramatic views all around. Be warned, take warm clothing if going in the autumn/winter, can get a bit chilly on the coast!
We had a wonderful time - thanks very much for a great experience...

We stayed here as a belated honeymoon, the house is absolutely beautiful and lovely and cool too on a hot day. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The accommodation is huge so would be perfect for families also. Peyriac itself is lovely with many walks, beaches and the mountains nearby or a short drive away. There are also incredible castles and markets nearby so there is so much to do in and around the area which we loved. We would definitely go again
