The location of this house is stunning. It’s set overlooking a lake and is so peaceful.
The owner provided absolutely everything you would need for a self catering stay He had even the fire going as it was a cold day. Lovely touch.. I would highly recommend this house for families and groups who want to enjoy a peaceful break away. I will most definitely be returning.
This is the third time I have stayed at the lake house and it just gets better everytime. The great friendliness of the locals in Teac jacks and the sheer wildness of the atlantic make this one of the best!
We arrived as a family off 6 to stay at the Lakehouse from 7th-14th July. We are familiar with the area, as we regularly stay in Bunbeg/Derrybeg/Glassagh.
So we knew we wouldn't be disappointed with the Lakehouse as it's location is perfect.
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely bright, airy, clean and well furnished property. All the mod cons and essentials that you would have at home.
It didn't take long to unpack and settle in. 5 minutes walk takes you to Teac Jacks for yummy grub, lively atmosphere an entertainment.
10/15 walk to a beautiful beach. Unfortunately we didn't get the weather we hoped for until the Friday, so we made the most off the bbq. We made the most off our stay by visiting Glenveagh forest, a trip to Letterkenny for shopping and a drive to the Shandon hotel in Dunfanaghy to avail of the thermal suite...pure bliss.
The evenings were spent watching movies or availing off the cards and poker chips provided for a few games off Jack Change It. The Lakehouse has beautiful views from the bedrooms of the lake with a few minutes walk to feed the ducks.
All in all a wonderful stay which we would certainly book again.
Thank you Ciaran for being do welcoming and looking after us during our stay.

House and owner amazing. Spotlessly clean, quality furnishings. Award worthy. Wish we stayed longer.
