A Kate's Cottage welcome!
A year ago ... the start of the Garden Goodness!
Plenty of fruits, herbs and salad ... pending on the season!
Bringing the outside in
A few indoor surprises too!
Lounge around or 'chef it up' in the kitchen!
Cooking up a treat ...
Dining at the cottage!
... or a bit of atmospheric stimulation!
And for your 'super king' sleep!
... OR a couple of comfy singles!
Another 'King' to rest in!
... or to sit by!
And another of our treasures!
And of course ... the essentials
... with a luxurious touch!
We love our doors!
Watch the 'kites' fly .. up Watlington Hill!
And just behind the cottage ... an early morning walk is good for the soul!
So many beautiful places to walk ...
And a great homecoming at the end of the day ... !
Put your feet up and enjoy our cottage garden - which has grown so much over the year!
Apples, Pears and cherries ... not to mention the herbs that sit beneath them! Yours to enjoy.
Nothing beats a summer BBQ and a good bottle of desert wine!
Whether is it hot or cold ... a fire pit is always fun to sit by.
Our kitchen literally flows out into the garden for all to enjoy ... whether you are chef or guest!
Autumn too is gorgeous in the garden ...

“Hidden Gem in England's Smallest Town”
Reviewed 12 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We were attending a family party in nearby Kingston Blount and consider ourselves very fortunate to have booked Kate's Cottage at the last minute. Handily placed in a very pleasant Oxfordshire village the cottage is also an excellent base for exploring the Chiltern countryside (eg Watlington Hill) as well as places such as Oxford and Henley. The cottage's spec is to a very high standard - a real home from home - with the recent renovation having been immaculately completed showing both imagination and practical sense. The garden is small but perfectly formed and we really enjoyed sitting amongst the differing fruits and vegetables enjoying a glass or two of wine in the evening sunshine. Our Australian hosts seem to have taken rather well to village life and their enthusiasm for the area, and Watlington in particular, was a delight to witness - they were exceptionally helpful when asked but at no time did they intrude during our short stay - the perfect hosts !! We cannot praise this property too highly - it is perfect for those who may be working in the area as well as for tourists exploring Watlington and its environs. Our only regret was that we didn't have longer to enjoy both the cottage and the Oxfordshire countryside.
