“Great place to come home to”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Weather in Northumbria at this time of year is not great but having the right gear and a cosy warm cabin to come home to made it a great end of year break. The cabin is set on a very quiet site, on the outskirts of the village, with views across the fileds and is very comfortable. It has everything you need. If you've read previous reviews let me tell you the sofa has been changed & is now very comfortable. On arrival the cabin was very warm and clean with a nice bottle of wine waiting for you. Most welcoming. The area has lots to offer whether it's culture or open space you seek, it's all around you. a visit to Cragside is a must and Alnwick is a short drive away via a great little road which like being on a roller coaster. Didn't see it all so will be back for more. Village has nice pubs & great butchers and corner shop, all you need

“Bamburgh Lodge”
Reviewed 16 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A place with spectacular views and within easy travel distance to many locations, on arrival there was a bottle of wine waiting, the cabin had everything we needed, there was also a book with places to visit - times and costs of the attractions, Bamburg castle well worth a visit.
The local pub 15 min walk away served excellent food - would advise having a torch for the journey back as no street lighting.

Liked best: scenery & location
Liked least: chairs were uncomfortable to sit on, the sofabed would be inadequate for sleeping two & you cannot sit on it during the day as too unconfortable - note left for owner as previous occupant had pointed this out and noted by owners

“Really enjoyed our stay..”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My husband and I stayed at Bamburgh Lodge for 5 nights. It is a lovely cosy little lodge with everything you might need. The kitchen is very well eqiupped. The surroundings are beautiful, it is so peaceful, and the birdlife is fascinating to watch. It is in a great location for exploring. We will definitely return. Oh and there was a complimentary bottle of wine, which is a nice touch.

“LOVELY CHILLED OUT LODGE”
Reviewed 27 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Beautiful lodge, very well equipped, cosy and homely, however the sofa in the lounge area was very uncomfortable to sit on and was definitely was not double size, if 4 adults were staying there would be a problem with sleeping. The bathroom was excellent, the shower was exceptional, loved the fact they provided really high quality towels and lovely products to use. Loved the location, the local Village Inn provided great food.
