4 week stay in a delightful self catering lodge and I have enjoyed every moment. All the comforts of home with a view to die for. If you are looking for a base to explore the region, you will be hard pressed to find a better location.
The only downside for me was the lack of 3G/4G signal, but my stay was for business in nearby Alnwick.
If this is not a deal breaker, then stay here, you will love it.

We have stayed in Coquet lodge twice now, and I already can't wait to go back! It is beautiful, cozy, and has stunning views from the front windows.
The park is perfectly located, so close to many of the wonders Northumberland has to offer, and the local village, Longframlington has two lovely pubs.

I highly recommend staying in one of these perfect cabins, they are clean, fully equipped! and the full central heating keeps you very warm!

We stayed here for 4 nights over a September weekend in a what should have been a 1 bedroom lodge but when we arrived, we had been placed in a 2 bedroom lodge. It had parking for 1 car, if other cars there is an area to park, and as only a small site, could walk to your lodge in a few minutes. It was peaceful with super views over the Northumberland countryside. Our lodge had everything we needed from a spacious lounge (with 2 large sofas), kitchen equipped with enough cutlery, plates etc for 4 people. One double en suite bedroom (cubicle shower) and the 2 bedroom being a twin next to the main bathroom which was a we room. Lodge comes with central heating and very good hot showers. Working tv and dvd player if you fancy a night in. Plenty of towels were provided and there is an outside seating area. Behind our lodge was a communual BBQ area (adults only to light the BBQ) and play area for the younger generation. As we were arriving about 10.30pm, Karen had unlocked our lodge and very kindly left the lights on along with the heating on low - it was a very warm welcome. Would definitely use again - Northumberland is a beautiful part of our country and the people were friendly and welcoming.

Room Tip: We stayed in the 2 bedroom Newton. There is a small play area behind this lodge which families would like.

Stayed Monday to Friday and had hot weather.
Small and compact site with a single one way road running through it . Only one car can park next to your allocated cabin any others must park in a small residents car park at the front of the site.
There is a two grill BBQ (under cover) next to the play area with picnic bench's.
If you are taking your dog, there are no real walks from the site but we went to Thrunton woods which is about 15mins drive away. The village is within 20 mins walk away but the lane and main road are quite busy. Pub, restaurant and shop all in the village. Big shops are at Morpeth and Alnwick. Try the Shoulder of Mutton at Longhorsly (very Dog friendly in the bar) good pub food.
Cabins have all you need for your stay .Fridge /freezer TV,DVD player ,Microwave etc

If you are a sun lover the Matfen cabin (3 bed rooms) gets the sun all day. But it is a little on top of the Kielder adjacent.
NO Wi-Fi and very poor mobile signal just what you want for a quiet holiday.(If you must the Shoulder of Mutton has free Wi-Fi).

Room Tip: If you are a sun lover the Matfen cabin (3 bed rooms) gets the sun all day. But it is a little on top of the Kielder adjacent.

Stayed here for a few nights in June. Lodge was comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. Full central heating and warmed up quickly. Every appliance you need in the kitchen and a lovely full bathroom with hot shower. Tranquil setting with amazing views over the countryside. Handy for trips to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Alnmouth, Warkworth, Holy Island and the beautiful Northumberland coast. Dogs welcome. Great place to relax and recharge the batteries. Planning our next visit already
