We booked this cottage as the photos suggested views over the Tyne valley and we assumed it was therefore south facing. It actually faced East with views of a wall. Hot water was only luke warm and nobody could use water if someone was in the shower. There was a lack of cutlery. I kept banging my head on the ensuite bathroom ceiling as it is very low over the toilet. Quite noisy with the main road and it was on the flight path for Newcastle airport. Positively the lounge was of good size and comfortable.

We booked this cottage for a wedding weekend, it was a perfect size for us 5 ladies, everything we were looking for, good distance to the wedding venue and the pub we used in heddon - on - the - wall. The owner came to check everything was ok for us on the Saturday morning, and answered any questions we had. We also appreciated the welcome basket with wine, fruit etc. the only comment I'd make, there was a lack of plug sockets in locations next to mirrors, the hot water took a while to come through, and it seemed the bath and shower could not get hot water at the same time, these issues were mainly due to 5 girls all getting teats at the same time. All in all great stay and would fully recommend!!!
