“A beautiful play to stay”

We stayed for two nights at 'the Bee's Knees' in August 2014 with our 23 month old twins. The owners (Alex and Dalene) were so lovely and welcoming- they greeted us on arrival and showed us around the cottage. The cottage has absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable and Alex and Dalene had thought of everything. The kitchen had all the mod cons (inc a coffee machine), there was a toy box in the living room for children (suitable for a range of ages), Sky TV, highchair, travel cot, DVD's, books ... I could go on....The cottage was very clean and had lots of nice little touches added to it and the garden was beautiful. The owners also provided us with a 'welcome hamper' of food, which was much more than we could have imagined- wine, chocolates, enough food in the fridge for a lunch the next day, breakfast items etc. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to couples or families- it is worth every penny. We would love to return one day!

We visited for 3 nights with 2 teenagers and 3 dogs in August.
Dalene and Alex were really welcoming. The communication before arriving at the cottage was excellent. The welcome food package was amazing and tailored to our vegetarian diet. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well furnished. The kitchen is just perfect.
The gardens are beautiful and ideal for chilling out with a glass of wine in the evening. All in all an excellent experience. We will recommend the Bee's Knees and will be back whenever we can. Thank you Dalene and Alex.

“A perfect home from home”

We stayed at the Bees Knees for 6 nights in late July as we visited our friends who live in nearby Banham. Before our arrival, communication between us and the owners was excellent and it was lovely to be greeted by both Dalene and Alex upon arrival after our 4 and three quarter hour journey down from Manchester. The cottage is beautifully furnished throughout and our 2 year old had his cot ready in the second bedroom too. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we instantly felt relaxed and at home.
There were some initial problems accessing the wifi but Dalene quickly rectified this within a few minutes. Alex and Dalene were extremely helpful during our stay and made us all feel very welcome. The cottage has so many facilities - too many to list here - but everything is modern with all mod cons, while still in keeping with the cottage and surroundings.
There are a number of attractions we visited during our stay, all of which we would recommend. Banham Zoo is a must, Great Yarmouth is a lovely place to visit, as is Wymondham (The Green Dragon pub is a gem) and the Bure Valley Railway.
The grounds of the cottage are beautiful, with lots of space for little ones to run around in, a picturesque pond and a great gazebo for drinks in the evening.
Overall, we would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage as a place to stay if you are visiting the area. Alex and Dalene are wonderful hosts and the cottage is perfect. We will definitely be returning. Thanks Alex and Dalene - we had a blast!!
