Nestled at the eastern side of Pulao Ubin, the wetlands offer great views of the ocean and surrounding habitat. This place is also home to lots of wildlife.

I'd recommend visiting at low tide (see more marine life). There's 2 walks, a coastal and mangrove, and they interconnect so you may as well do both. At a slow stroll both can be done in an hour.

Chek jawa is a lowland mangrove swamp where you can those mud crabs, mud skipper and etcs. A learning places for kids.

We took some friends from Hong Kong and they marveled about how natural it is. Yet at the same time the Trek was not too difficult as there were broad walks. Nice because one was the mangrove walk and the other the coastal walk - both very pretty. Lovely way to spend the day

The Chek Jawa wetlands and coastal path are the real highlight of a trip to Pulau Ubin, Singapore's best kept secret attraction. A fairly long walk, but exhilarating bike ride from the main petty, do first visit the information centre tucked among the trees, then set off on both the coastal and mangrove boardwalks. Cleverly constructed to provide safe walkways without spoiling the Vista, the journey round each is informative, exciting and memorable. The highlight of our fabulous day out on Pulau Ubin.

Best part of Pulau Ubin.
The only downside is all the rubbish that washes up from Singapore and Malaysia. We need to organise a working bee to clean it up! Otherwise the place is well managed by the national parks service.
