“Cosy, well-furnished bunglalow accomodation on a convenient holiday park near beaches”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

No. 31 is a very well furnished bungalow within the Gower Holiday Village. The village has an indoor swimming pool (heated and really good size, but not open throughout the winter, so check beforehand), plenty of quiet off-road grounds,a laundrette and children's playgrounds. There is also a large family-friendly pub, a well-stocked convenience store and a fish & chip shop right at the entrance to the village. The village is a 5-min car drive from the beautiful coastline with Horton Beach, Port Eyron and Rhosilli all within easy reach. The Gower is small, so other attractions such as the Heritage Centre (great day out to occupy children under 10) with its Woollen Mill and even nearby Swansea and the popular Mumbles are just 20-30 mins away by car. If you are not with children, the bungalow is a nice quiet retreat to dry off and enjoy a DVD in the evenings after a long walk along the coastal path. There is wifi access at the pool house area but if you are like me and need to work a bit from your bungalow you can go online and buy day passes from BT wifi. Other people in the village seemed to have trouble with mobile phone reception, but we found our phones to work OK in the bungalow (although with sporadic reception around the Gower in general) The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to be self-sufficient. We stayed in another bungalow on the site last year and No.31 beat it hands down for furnishings. The beds were really comfortable and we didn't have to bring bedding which was a plus. The weather was not warm during our week, but we found the bungalow to heat up within just a few hours on arrival and because it has tough-wearing carpeting on the living room and bathroom floors, it never felt uncomfortable. There are 2 x 2-seater sofas which were not the most comfortable, but we didn't spend much time on them to be honest anyway as there is so much to get up and do in the Gower. The water pressure in the shower was also a bit slow, but again this was a very minor complaint and I would highly recommend this as a holiday rental for families/small groups

Thank you, we have worked hard to make this a home from home, and provide everything we can to make guests comfortable. It's good to hear that guests enjoy the bungalow and the Gower as much as we do.

“Fabulous place, highly recommended!!”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My husband, me and our two boys (5 & 1), stayed here for a week and it was perfect. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a couple of miles away from my brother and his family so was perfect location. The shop had everything we needed so there was no need to travel very far for amenities. All the local beaches had everything the boys needed - ie one big sand pit! We are looking forward to booking up again next year!

“High standard of accomodation perfectly placed”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Excellent accomodation for a family (2 adults & 2 boys age 7&11yrs) plus we took Grandad for the 1st week. Nothing is too much trouble. Owners in touch regularly & very helpful folder with useful info/guides /menus etc at base. They even returned a left item & posted it back to us. An immaculate spacious bungalow with plenty of storage in bedrooms & kitchen. Lovely hot shower ( room for 2 if you are getting sand off the children!) Our youngest slept on a mattress on our floor 1st week & gave up his bed for Grandad to share twin room with my eldest. Comfy beds. Tons of extra bedding provided. Dining table & comfy lounge area. Quiet holiday park with lots of facilities - free use of indoor pool ( small but very very clean) & jacuzzi, laundry facilities on site, pub/restaurant onsite with excellent food ( accomodated gluten free diet when asked) - amazing carvery on Sundays til 4pm! Lawned areas gave feeling of space & kids could play out if they needed to. Childrens play area suitable for under 10yrs. Fantastic area of The Gower Peninsula. Close to all beaches & beautiful walks - VERY rural. Mumbles & Swansea is 30-40mins car ride away which suited us fine. Can recommend Rhosilli beach, Port Eynon beach ( closest at 1.5miles away) & 3 Cliffs bay (My favorite). We did Castles, Valley walks & got lots of fresh air. Base was great for rainy days with TV, DVD player ( plus DVDs), warm & cosy. Wi-fi available in nearby pool/ social area. If you want to explore the beauty of the Gower then this is a fantastic base. We had a brilliant time.
