The trek is around 12-13km long and starts from barshaini. The trek is not difficult and can be completed in 5 hours. There are numerous cafes along the way which serve panckaes, maggi, pata tha, sandwiches, tea etc. The food at these cafes is actually delicious. There is a small temple in the middle of the trek and also a village where there are some options to stay. Most part of the trek was on the side of parvati river. The water kept the temperature cool. The sound of the running water was extremely calming. We had to cross multiple water streams, so do carry extra socks. We reached the top at around 8:00pm and were able to find accommodation easily (we went during on season). Kheerganga is actually a village, so there is ample accommodation available. The entire village runs on solar electricity and there is no mobile coverage. We stayed at the top for two days. It rained continuously the entire time. Everything is expensive at the top. Be prepared to pay double for almost everything.
