Beautiful views for breakfast IF you can ever get a table on the terrace. Breakfast are good and hearty, although the bacon is always very fatty.

Thank you for your review of our café and our breakfasts. During busy times our extensive outside seating area does become busy but we are quite happy to reserve a table for you if you give us call beforehand. I am pleased you find the breakfasts good but disappointed that you find the bacon fatty, we use quality bacon from a local butcher, I will pass on your feedback to my management staff. We look forward to welcominig and serving you again soon.

As we drove in I was not really expecting more than a basic caff - but we were very pleasantly surprised.

We had a mixture of cake and scones and jam with a pot of tea. All delicious and the setting is lovely.

We spoke to the lady who made the scones - she was lovely and friendly.

If you're in the area you must stop here!

I visited the Fish Farm café with a group of 18 ladies that I volunteer with in a charity shop. This was our summer treat because we often only get to see the person we work with and not the other volunteers. We had pre booked for so many and had a long table outside on the veranda. When we had all settled our drinks were served which included some variations on normal tea including a request for soya milk and peppermint tea which was no problem to the staff. Then the cake stands and sandwich platters arrived and everyone said wow. There was plenty of choice both with the sandwiches, delicious cream cakes and fresh scones, jam and cream. We had extra hot water for more tea and time to talk and take in the wonderful vista of lakes, swans and ducks. There were sandwiches and cake left over and the waitress produced 18 doggy boxes for us to take away a treat for those left at home.
I would highly recommend the £9.75 afternoon tea but don't have lunch first.

I have visited the Waterside Cafe several times with friends - 6-8 of us in total. We usually go for brunch and the food is always consistent and of a good quality. Last time I visited I ordered the blueberry waffles which seemed freshly prepared and were absolutely delicious. When the weather is nice you can sit outside overlooking the fishing lake, it's a really nice setting.
