“Lovely & Cosy”
Reviewed 14 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Lovely cosy little cottage with off road parking.
Short walk from the town with numerous places to eat - must try Station House Hotel very reasonably prised with large portions, and lots of different individual shops to browse in.
Helens thoughtful attention to detail made a very warm welcome. Felt like home from home with the log burner very welcoming after a very wet day wandering around York!!
Shower gel, Soap, shampoo and conditioner there to use if you wish, along with lovely soft towels and a hairdryer.
Basics of sugar, tea and coffee supplied but i paid extra and there was freshly baked bread and scones (still warm) home made jam, cream, butter and nice coffee waiting for us when we arrived :-)
And the bed ---- as someone else said it was like sleeping on a marshmallow had the best 2 nights sleep in ages!
You also have access to wifi if required

Thank you Helen for an amazing weekend in your gorgeous cottage! We had such a great time and it was all down to your attention for detail and thoughfullness. The cottage is immaculate and very cosy! We had the woodburner on every night which was really nice to unwind after a day out! York is only a 20-25 minute car journey away and the park and ride was brilliant. Pocklington is really nice and has all the shops you could need! All in all dont hesitate to book this cottage! :)

“Fab!!”
Reviewed 14 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Lovely little cottage in the perfect place for exploring york. Helen, the owner, was there to greet us with a wam welcome upon arrival. The village itself was a 30 sec walk away which was full of cute tea rooms, gift shops and plenty of places to eat.
We caught the park and ride, a 15 minute drive away, into york and was lovely to be able to come back to this cute little cottage and light the log fire.
We also went to the York designer outlet centre which was a 25 minute drive away.
Have already recommended this cottage to friends and family.

“A comfortable and cosy cottage. Perfect to come back to after a busy day sight-seeing”
Reviewed 22 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We had a warm welcome from Helen and Patrick. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Easy to find and ideally located for getting into York and exploring the surrounding area. Pocklington itself is a lovely town where you can get everything you need and lots of choice for places to eat.
