We stayed in September, for a wedding with family. We were married in the stunning medieval town hall in Lucignano, 15 minutes drive away.
The villa was perfect, 9 rooms, 9 bathrooms.
It was spacious, and very clean. We didn't use the sauna, but the indoor heated pool is a must as the outdoor pool isn't heated so it was too chilly for me personally. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The owner of the villa, Anna, was amazing.
She sourced a chef for our first night night, $25 a person for a 4 course meal which was fabulous!. She also put me in contact with a hair dresser for my wedding day, who was also amazing. We had a wedding planner who brought in caterers for the wedding day and to dress the table. There is a little village 5-10 minutes drive away to stock up on food and drink or to get take out pizza. I really felt little need to leave the villa as we had everything we needed there, and really appreciated our privacy, so we didn't need to worry about making too much noise! We didn't use the aircon, and were cautious about leaving lights on, and our electric bill was only 40euros for 3 nights.
The only problems we had were the leaking toilet downstairs, which I believe the maintenance man was advised of to fix by us when we left. The downstairs bedroom is fine, but as its ground floor, there were creepy crawlies in there and the only window was the door to the outside, so my friend didn't feel safe leaving it open, I would recommend not using this one. The rest of the rooms were lovely and the villa even has an elevator/lift so you don't have to carry luggage up the stairs! If you get to pick, choose a room with a shower over the jet baths, the shower curtains were quite old and the jets in the bath hadn't been used in some time, so recommend not to use them. The kitchen is massive too and was great fr the chefs that came in.
I couldn't thank Anna enough for letting us stay in her beautiful villa, and the exceptional customer service we received from her and the staff at the villa. All the guests were blown away have exceptionally beautiful Tuscany is.
Bring your own soap for the bathrooms, toilet paper and towels were provided in the cost for us, and print off directions - Brolio is super small, so once you get there it isn't too tough to find. I would definitely love to go back, it's amazing value, and highly recommend Anna's caterers - again, outstanding value!
