After visiting the Island of Burano
with its uniquely colorful houses and
Lace Museum, we stopped for a mid-afternoon lunch.
The Riva Rosa serves delicious meals
(No pizza-thank goodness). The restaurant overlooks a small canal with colorful houses and shops. My partner, she had a delicious calamari fritti verdure polent with a lovely glass of Prosecco. I had a most wonderful fegato
alla veneziana. The liver was sliced thin, tender
smothered in tasty carmelized onions served with
polenta. A speciality in Venice. I enjoyed a refreshing glass of Lugana Tommasi white wine. Resting and watching the wonderful casual flow of tourists from all over the world appreciating the relaxed beauty Burano.
The service was professional and friendly. They made us ( two older women from the US ) feel comfortable.
