This hotel is rated as 4-star hotel, but what you get is not what would you expect for a 4-star hotel. I was looking for a nice hotel in Railay West and we booked a Jacuzzi Villa. Instead we got a villa which was located almost in Railay East, The jacuzzi was an open-air jacuzzi and it was looking absolutely terrible. I don't think nobody uses this jacuzzi. The transportation to the villa by a golf-type car is along the service path, just behind some villas, facing the back of air-conditioning apparels. Terrible impression. Fortuynately, we discover later on that instead we could go to Railay West side walking along a different path located between the villas. When we arrived to the villa, the smelling was also terrible. Not sure why. One of the night we had also a terrible noise from some machinery for more than hour. Outside of the villa, aside of that terrible jacuzzi, 2 long chairs to take sunbaths (we never used them), an outdood shower (basic, no details at all), and a small table with chairs. Inside of the villa was basic. Bed was ok, but lack of details everywhere. In the toilet, nothing to hang towels. Any pillow in the sofa of the room, so you need to take some pillows from the bed. Nothing to hang out the beach towels and swimsuits after coming back from the beach. There are two swimming pools. One in front of the beach, nice views but almost impossible to get a long chair, and another one in the interior of the resort, not so appealing, without views. Breakfast was included and it was quite ok.

You cannot fail to be blown away by the beauty of Railay Bay and it really makes me want to give this hotel a 4 star. It really is an amazing location.

However the hotel is incredibly busy and quite expensive. We had a privacy cottage with a jacuzzi in the garden which was wonderful, but everything needs a little bit of TLC as at times felt a bit grubby. The bathroom fan fell off the wall of its own accord while we were there but we managed to fix it back on!

There is something magical about Railay and this hotel is a good place for a base for a couple of days stay.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and you really can’t find a better spot for breakfast than the beach front restaurant.

We spent three days in this hotel. The hotel main area is in railay west beach, two minute walk from walking street. Breakfast was good besides the fact they do not serve fresh juice. Rooms were good, with an outside jacuzzi and plenty of space. The bathroom was a bit smelly and room appliances a bit old. We had a very bad experience upon checkingout. I booked the rooms and airport transport under my name (our departure time was 4pm and rooms were already paid); the hotel tried to charge the other room the transportation expense, they did not speak English, but explain them that I would manage that when departing. We were meeting them at the beach and had a 65 year old woman waiting as a warranty for payment for over 30 min. When I arrived and asked what was the reason for holding her there the answer was it is a hotel policy to pay transportation at that time. They had the luggage of both rooms in their storage and the reservation for transportation under my name. It made absolutely no sense. Our days in Railay were great but staff in the hotel should be trained to treat the elder in a much more respectful manner.

We have just returned from 11 nights in this hotel. Although it is ok and i would return there are a few things that can be improved.
Positives> good helpful staff, great location and lots of monkeys, especially around the back pool in the afternoons.
Negatives> the rooms and around the resort is a bit tired and needs a touch of paint to freshen things up.
The bathrooms could also be smartened up a lilttle.

Poached eggs at breakfast a bit hit and miss on quality and the time taken to turn up. And when they do turn up they arrive on a piece of bread that everybody appears to leave??
Would be nice to have fried eggs cooked in front of you as the fried eggs and many of the other items such as beans in the terrines were luke warm at best.

We ate in the restaurant one evening, probably the poorest meal we had in Thailand and one of the dearest. Much better places in resort. Especially Welcome on east beach and local Thai on walking street.

A few little things could improve this hotel so much

Blown away with Railay. The scenery is stunning. Helpful and friendly staff at hotel. Pool was well maintained. Rooms big with spacious bathrooms. Tides come in and out so sometimes more beach area then other times. Westside beach great. Eastside more for shopping and restaurants as mangroves. Best massage ever from the parlour just before the treehouse bar on eastside.
If you come Railay Beach by ferry be aware. You will stop out to sea and transferring to longboats. Quite a step down from one vessel to another.
Great week - thanks.
