If you’re staying in Railay and not afraid of heights or a good scramble, this is definitely something you need to do. We would advise doing it in the morning though, a) before it gets too hot and b) before the day trippers ruin it. Wear appropriate footwear also. This is not an easy stroll/climb but is a lot of fun if you like scrambling and don’t mind getting a bit mucky.

After a very steep but doable climb, you reach the view point. Breathtaking! It took us about 20 minutes to get there, I would recommend going in the morning because of the heat. Put on some comfortable clothes that you don't mind to get a little dirty by the red clay.

Definitely not the easiest of trips to get to the view point, at times it’s a vertical rock climb in slippery mud - difficult if you are short like me in places too!

Sensible walking shoes or trainers are a must - saw a few people slip in flip flops and sandals.

But so worth the trip when you are at the top, the views are so so stunning! Would definitely make this climb again!

You need to climb to get there, so don’t go there in slippers. On the way you can also visit the lagoon, it’s half way to the view point.

The way to Railay View Point is quite difficult, but the view is stunning, so it is worth it! Very, very nice!
