We booked this wonderful house at short notice. Fortunately for us it was still available. My wife and two nephews decided to travel to Northern Ireland for a weeks golfing and site seeing.
The property looked ideal, but to be honest the photographs don't do it justice. It is a great house. Located just outside Armoy, it is perfectly sited for day trips and many reasonably priced golf courses.
Some nearby attractions include: Giants causeway, carrick-a-rede-bridge, bushmills distillery, Dunluce castle, portstewart GC, ballmoney, ballycastle, Belfast, titanic exhibition, gracehill GC, the dark hedges to name but a few.
You need a car. Otherwise it will be difficult to get around. We arrived at the house to find it well equipped.
Helen, the owner, even put milk in the fridge for us.
Washing machine, drier, TV, four bedrooms, huge kitchen, 3 toilets, ample outdoor space (if you get good weather!), house alarm, etc.
The dark hedges, which are featured in the Game of Thrones, are a 3 minute drive away. The avenue of trees were planted on the approach to Gracehill house many years ago. Gracehill golf course, again only a short drive away, is a hidden gem. Be warned though, it is no walk in the park with lots of water hazards and some tight holes!
We finished our holiday with a Van Morrison concert at Dunluce Castle.
We never met our host, but hopefully we will meet Helen when we return someday.
