Thorton le dale lovely village & the most amazing ice creams easy to get everywhere even our 14year old dog made it up the steps in robins hood bay better than us Yorkshire is wonderful and stunning countryside and coasts
This was our first visit to North Yorkshire and the accommodation was spot on. The cottage was located down a small lane and was very peaceful. It was well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday, spacious, clean and tidy. On arrival there was a lovely welcome basket. Situated in a lovely village a 5 minute walk away with a couple of pubs which served nice food, tea rooms, and a small number of shops. Location was also great for Pickering (2 miles), Scarborough and Whitby. Will definitely return to this cottage and have already recommended to friends and family. Thank you James
Chose Craven Garth based on reviews and were really impressed. Everything was spotlessly clean and the enclosed garden was perfect for our 5 month old pup - his first holiday. Nice touch with a welcome pack waiting for us. James C was easily contactable and all arrangements went smoothly It is a very quiet and peaceful holiday and a good location to explore this part of Yorkshire and we visited Whitby, Scarborough, York and Eden Camp - all of which were not long drives away. Near to Dalby forest which was great for walking the dog.
Location is excellent with just a short walk (5 mins) to centre of village with pubs, restaurant and shops. Interesting access from road down lane which looked narrower than it probably was!
All in all it was absolutely perfect for us and weather was great.
Tucked away Craven Garth was an ideal location for us - with every facility we required and an enclosed garden to keep our dog safe. Thornton le Dale is a delightful place with river running through it. Nearby Pickering has shops and supermarkets - and is only 10 minutes drive away. Trips to the coast - Scarborough - or Dalby Forest for walking or cycling - in under an hour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.
