This is my idea of a cheap fun lunch. This restaurant looks a bit tacky from the outside but one look at the cars/vans/trucks arriving en-masse at noon tells all. The place absolutely buzzes and consists of 2 very large rooms seating more than a hundred plus an outside area. It's got a bar as well. Lunch for 13 euros offers a vast buffet, a main course with a steak option and desert. Wine and coffee are included. The buffet offers charcuterie of every kind, patés, pizza, cheeses, shellfish (in season) etc. Desert when we last went gave a choice between a banana tarte or fromage blanc and fruit salad. If you're not well and truly sated by then there's always a cheese top-up from the buffet. The main course is normally robust; last time we had a roulade of spicy turkey meat in a rich sauce. In the past I've enjoyed beef stew, duck hearts and rabbit amongst others. Only tip, the steak is a bit chewy for non-French tastes if the main course does not appeal.
