“Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location”
Reviewed 25 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

It's the perfect cottage to experience the English countryside. The cottage is well equipped and beautifully maintained. The garden is so inviting and on a sunny day it's the ideal place to relax and while away a few hours. The cottage is set in a beautiful village, walking distance from the local pub serving traditional food. The surrounding villages and countryside are well worth exploring. The owners Martin and Julia were very friendly and accommodating.

“A perfect country hideaway.”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in June 2014

A beautifully maintained thatched country cottage, situated in an idyllic small village surrounded by picturesque open countryside.
The property is well furnished, well equiped, and has a well maintained private and secluded garden.
The cottage is situated only a two minute walk from the village pub, which serves very good traditional food, at very reasonable prices.
Many walks are available from the cottage, and the village is well located with many country roads leading off in all directions.
This cottage is a great place to come to if you want to escape the busy world, and enjoy some quality time, and relax, in very comfortable surroundings.

“Stunning”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

If you are looking for the perfect location coupled with the ultimate in " Chocolate Box" country cottages then please look no further. Martin & Julia have left no stone unturned (more to the point no expense spared) in creating the gold standard of Little Thatch.

We had a wonderful week in June, excellent personalised touches inside, the landscaped garden is so relaxing, safe for children and practical in its layout. No rusted up barbecues here just a gleaming expensive "Jamie Oliver" offering. Sums it all up really!

The only downside is when you stay somewhere else you will always be comparing it to your time spent in the oasis of Little Thatch. We will be back in the Autumn...and again and again.....

“Idyllic Stay in Peaceful Location”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

As another reviewer also stated, we had high hopes as well after seeing the cottage online- it looked picture-perfect. Fortunately for us, it was just that. We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the refrigerator and some snacks (which were very much appreciated!) The cottage is as lovely as the websites present it to be. The garden was beautiful and big enough for our two children to play "bug explorers". And ideal for an outside meal on the nicer days. Our children adored the cottage and told everyone we met that week that they were staying in the "Teddy Bear Cottage"- all of the new friends for them to play with and snuggle made them feel instantly comfortable and happy there. The endless supply of books and games were wonderful, as were the various basics in the kitchen such as pasta, tea, spices and milk (on arrival). I don't think there was a cooking utensil or pot missing that someone would need to create any type of dish. It seems they have thought of everything. We have stayed in many self-catering accommodations around Europe and Little Thatch is one of the best, if not THE best. It was truly a home away from home.

The village is small, but lovely (with a proper little local pub/restaurant a minute walk away) and the small park and playground just a minute walk away was ideal. Hearing hooves clop by at least once or twice a day was a delight for the children.

We could not fault a thing about our stay and will recommend it to friends and family.

“We could not bear to leave this beautiful home!”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had high hopes, but Little Thatch exceeded all expectations - it's simply a beauthiful home in a beautiful peaceful setting, and within aday our children decied they would prefer t stay here than return home. Lovely quirky cottage, perfect garden, thoughtfully furnished and decorated in a lovely village setting.
The owners Martin and Lulia were extremely helpful and gracious.

We are planning a return visit already.
