Nice place to wander through, with ancient rock carvings in still-used temples. Good place to take pictures.

you have to descend 200 steps to reach this temple and its tombs carved in the rock cliffs. It is really amazing, peaceful with rice fields close to the temple.
It's a pity that there are so many souvenir shops along the path.

We hired a private driver and guide to take us around the Ubud area and requested a stop at one of the water temples. Very happy with our visit here, even though the main pool was empty and in the process of being cleaned (hey - it happens!). Definitely felt as much of holy ground as any Christian church, Jewish synagogue, Moslem mosque, or Buddhist temple I've been in before. Beautiful setting and the spring's waters were crystal clear. The reason the guide suggested this temple is that he felt it wouldn't be as crowded as the others, which was fine with us (and he was spot on). Don't worry about a sarong - they are available when you enter the temple grounds. There definitely are lots to visit and this created a special memory for us.

a monument so underrated. be warned it’s a lot of steps going down and then coming back up. if you’re physically unfit, don’t bother about coming here. it’s beautiful serene and had very few tourists when we were there.

A surprising temple in Bali. Seems like a scenario out of an Indiana Jones movie. It has a lot less tourists and is a very peaceful place...
