“Seven great days in Whitehorse!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2011

We had a busy and wonderful week in Whitehorse and looked forward to coming "home" each evening to relax in this gorgeous B&B. I had informed Eva in advance that I needed to eat gluten-free meals, and she prepared delicious and plentiful breakfasts. We were also able to use the clothes washer and dryer while we were there and this was especially useful.

We spent one week at this gorgeous Bed & Breakfast. I notified the owner well in advance that I needed to eat gluten free food. She said it was not a problem. The breakfasts were wonderful, beyond my expectations. It was like having "Bed & Brunch!" We enjoyed the spectacular views from our room, the Cappuccino Suite, and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. We were also able to do some laundry. The best part, however, was learning about the Yukon from our hosts, Eva and Emile.

We found this in the Milepost when we were a bit desperate to find a place in Whitehorse. It is a bit outside of the city on a ranch (they have horses). We first saw two beautifully appointed patios with fountains. The house was tastefully done - no frilly, pastelly, superfeminine decor. Rather it had wonderful art from local artists and photos of the area. Our room was huge, complete with tv, couch, chair and bureaus - very homey! There was a jacuzzi ( hot tub) outside, surrounded by fir and spruce trees and flowers. The full bath had cozy bathrobes - perfect for taking out to the jacuzzi. Breakfast was tasty and our hosts delightful company. Their recommendations for the evening dinner were terrific. All in all, we would stop there again and again. We highly recommend it. They had about 4-5 rooms(not certain of the number). Ours could sleep 4, the rest were for 2.

We only stayed for two nights at this fabulous B & B, but I wish we could have extended our stay to a week or more.
Eva is a marvelous hostess, making sure the guests are comfortable and lack for nothing.
Each room is appointed differently, decorated with various memorabilia, as is the entire house. Since the B& B is about 20 minutes out of Whitehorse, and about 1/2 mile off the main highway, there is no traffic noise to keep you awake.
Because our friends were on their honeymoon, we were greeted with champagne, and cheese, crackers & strawberries, served to us on a marvelous garden patio, in beautiful champagne flutes.
Eva prepared and served breakfast each morning in a very spacious open kitchen. We were the only guests and as such were able to monopolize her time in conversation as she cooked our breakfasts (crepes one morning and omelet the next, accompanied by fruit, yogurt, granola, etc.
Both nights we took advantage of the very large hot tub located at the end of a narrow garden path, surrounded by flowers. Wonderful way to end the strenuous day of sightseeing and shopping. .
As gardeners we were particularly impressed by the beautiful flower beds. The picture on their website doesn't nearly show the whole story. The northern roses were in bloom and the fragrance was wafting across the patio with every breeze. It can't be described, it has to be experienced.
Would we go back if we travel again to Whitehorse? In a minute!
George & Valerie

We are an English couple who stayed here for a total of six nights and we thoroughly recommend it.. Our hosts, Eva and Emile welcomed us into their home not only by giving us a large glass of wine as soon as we arrived but also by inviting us to their son's wedding as he was getting married from there during our stay. A Yukon wedding is an experience not to be missed! We left having met many of their family members and friends (there is a constant trail of people dropping in to enjoy Eva's hospitality!) and feeling as though we had known them for years not days. Eva can tell you all the places where you should eat and what you can do and see (do not miss Muktuk Kennels - you will be amazed). The ranch is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and memorable and breakfasts are wonderful. It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to have stayed here and met this (slightly crazy!!) family and we will definitely go back if ever in the Yukon again.
