The portions are big and delicious (get the quesadillas) or some ribs on Friday night (excellent). Pricing is more than fair and the atmosphere was quiet (mgmnt. doesn't let troublemakers have the run of the place).

Convenient location... get a doggy bag too!

The Airport Chalet is conveniently located on the Alaska Hwy, with its own excellent restaurant & lounge. I was just passing thru & didn't want to stay in town. I stayed in the motel unit, because of the at-the-door parking. The room was clean & comfortable. Tho across the hwy from the airport, the room was also quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Wi-fi is not available in the motel unit, but I was invited to use it in the hotel lobby and also is availabe in the restaurant. On my return trip, I made a point to stay here again. I had no problems with deposit holds.

We stayed in the hotel building. The kitchenette room was dated and worn with wood panel walls. The room had no air conditioning, the room was hot upon arrival which would explain the two fans in the room. Leaving the window open wasn't a good option because the outside noise was pretty loud (major highway, and airport). The bathroom was clean, shower pressure was good. The shaw satellite tv had a good selection of channels. There was a mini-fridge, dishes, pots, pans and some cutlery. The wifi was good. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant served great home made fries. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms in the hotel building, facing the airport, have great mountain views, rooms with even numbers...

We booked this hotel based on favourable trip advisor reviews but were very disappointed. We called ahead to book a room in the motel outside unit and requested a senior rate which was confirmed. We like a motel with drive up parking for ease of unloading luggage. Upon arrival we were told the booking person obviously made a mistake and we could not get the senior rate. We could stay in the hotel but those are pet friendly and not good for someone like myself with allergies. Also, it is hotel policy to charge 150.00 deposit rate to visa when checking in and will get the credit when checking out. Because of the mixup in our reservation and the condition of our room, the standard deposit rate charge was waived. We had travelled 750 km that day and just wanted to get out of our vehicle and relax and did not want the hassle of looking for another hotel and we would have been charged for the room anyway whether we stayed here or not. The room was not very clean and did not "feel" clean, had cobwebs in bathroom, hole in wall where someone had banged the door against it and the screen door was broken that we tried to hold together with scotch tape. We called management twice to examine the room before we actually brought in our luggage as we did not want to be accused of making this damage. The manager at first seemed doubtful this was old damage but did finally agree it was done previously. With all the issues of checking in and the poor state of the room, the manager offered us a complimentary breakfast and we did enjoy fresh fruit and toast the next morning. We did not really feel safe in this motel and did not open the window for sleeping. We travelled across Canada and spent two months in hotels, some old but very clean and some brand new. This motel really needs updating and a good cleaning. Rate 135.00.

Staff were great, bar and restaurant were fantastic and the cost to plug in our truck and camper was the most reasonable our whole 3000km trip. Only $10! We stayed in a pet room to keep an eye on the truck so it didn't smell great but that's what we signed up for. Only complaint was the painful shower pressure. Dinner and breakfast were 10/10.
