Thought I'd just have some soup for a light lunch, as I'd heard the soup was "to die for". However, one look at the menu and what was coming out for other diners, and I was hooked, so I decided to have the full 3 courses. The service was impeccable - friendly but not intrusive; the food was beautifully presented, and smelt and tasted delicious; and each serving was the perfect size. Decor and ambiance best described as elegant, sophisticated, but not "stuffy". All in all, it was an exceptional dining experience, and the ideal way to end a wonderful trip to Canada.

We had dinner here on our anniversary and had the set menu. Loved each of the courses, especially the beet soup and the halibut for the main was great. We also loved how we could have a sweet or savour desert. The setting was beautiful as it felt we were in the middle of a rainforest. The service was great and we loved the whole experience.

For a special occasion, Le Saint-Amour is the perfect place to celebrate it. They were more than accommodating in celebrating my partner's 41st birthday. All attention to detail, while taking in consideration all our requests way in advance represents this special restaurant. We both decided to order the $70 CAD tasting menu with a bottle of wine (around $75 CAD). The total amount including tip was around $242.63 USD. Their dress code is quite flexible during the winter season, allowing boots and winter clothing with no issues. During the other seasons, dress code standards are higher for such type of restaurant. I would recommend making reservations in advance to make sure that all details are planned in advance for special occasions. It can be considered pricey, but it is certainly worth all the attention and excellent food demonstrations. Highly recommend it!

I cannot say enough about Le Saint-Amour. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and the wine list was most comprehensive with maps as a visual aid. The garden decor and the background music were romantic too. Definitely will be a repeat on the next trip.

Located in beautiful historic old Quebec City. Beautifully decorated and well lit both outside and inside. We were warmly greeted and asked our language of preference. We had requested to sit in the back section by the historic brick wall. We were told the restaurant was fully booked due to Valentine's week, but we would have the best server, Marianne. At first, Marianne seemed confused and distracted. She came to our table without a HELLO or not attentive to us, and simply placed one wine glass and a ice bucket, then she came back and took it away. Secondly, Marianne greeted and took the order of the couple seated next to our table though they had arrived after us. In the meantime, a sommelier took our wine order. The first wine bottle was not good and we thought Marianne seemed pissed, however the sommelier was more understanding and offered another wine selection. My husband and I closed our menu to make certain Marianne was more attentive. The menu is super interested with a wide range of options. We were served a complimentary cold cream of mushroom. Quite tasty though I personally am not a fan of cold soup. We had the delicious seafood chowder, duck foie gras, lamb chops and filet mignon. Note that you must ask for cooking temperature otherwise it's "rare" as told by Marianne. Extensive wine selection, 80% French wines. We had a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2013 though started with two bloody caesars. We had limited service and attention by Marianne, except for taking our order and poured the wine twice (we had to pour our wine between plate servings). The other staff was very attentive. When we complained about Marianne's lack of customer service, the sommelier used the excuse that the restaurant was very busy. However, Marianne was very quick to want to charge our meal and came twice, and the third time she DID NOT show up and sent the sommelier to collect our dinner bill. Reminder that we selected your restaurant based on favourable recommendation of local residences and we had a choice to dine at your establishment. However, the costs of $505.75 for a couple definitely does NOT reflect the poor service of Marianne. We will return to your restaurant for the "Ambiance" and "Nourriture"

Good day Astrid B and thank you fro writing a review of your experience in our restaurant. Of course we are happy about how you rated both Ambiance and Nourriture; as for the service part, we had a meeting with the employees in question, to make sure Saint-Amour's standards are met. This is obviously not the feeling we want our clients to leave with and we are sure that you are well aware of that. We do hope we will get to welcome you again in the future and show you what Saint-Amour is about.

Warm regards
