Great little place for a relaxing beer and conversation. The server was excellent and engaged in pleasant conversation and great insights on the area.

This is a small wine bar with a limited menu, but limited to excellence. Great wines and cheese board. (There are some other items on the restaurant.) Nice outdoor sidewalk café with umbrella's for the misting rains. No hurry and knowledgable staff. Locals come here … they recommend the quiet spot for a peaceful happy hour :)

Decent food reasonable prices. Server was great and helpful. Limited food menu but the food was good. Has a stew with meat mushrooms carrots was very good. Meet platter fine. Only problem we were in the back which is quiet and nice but it had a lot of little flying pests.

This place was not really busy on a Saturday at 9pm (after FEQ so not during wild festival period). We wanted to eat first an hour before the excellent music... we were just relieved that we could easily find a large table. However, it was absolutely filthy and grimy but we are pretty forgiving for great music. After making a nod and smile to each of the 3 men working there (2 behind the bar and 1 server) we stood around but no one from the bar or the single server that ran around us, wanted to even notice us. We noticed the waiter several times but we were still patient, since the music promised to be great. So, after a final few minutes, we just went next door to eat, where we had a well-priced meal, decent food, clean atmosphere and we could hear the wonderful live music from Pape George. During the summer, outside of festival period, in a practically half empty pub, there is no excuse for such aloof service.

We chose Papa Georges based on Trip Advisor Reviews. There were 7 of us for an early evening dinner - this is more of a pub than a restaurant. In the later afternoon during happy hour the place was packed but when we came by at about 7:30 most of the revellers had left - the menu is limited but we shared a great charcuterie platter that our server, David arranged for us. His service and personality added lots of charm and enjoyment to the evening!
