Out of main tourist area. Not toi friendly host at the door, without reservation could just have a place at the bar. Very noisy interior smelling fried grease. Delicious food served with acceptable but not great white wine. Please do something on acoustics and kitchen smell extraction!

For our last night in Quebec City, we had a reservation at Le Clocher Peneche and they did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was outstanding. We shared a starter of bison tongue which was sliced thinly and served with some grilled bread and garnished with a light salad. We both had the agnolotti which was stuffed with pork and served over a bouillabaisse sauce. A combination I haven't seen before but was very good. The restaurant was quite loud, but you definitely feel like a local dining in this Saint Roch neighborhood restaurant.

Tired of the tourist chaos, we searched for something away from the hubbub and were soooooo happy with our dining choice. A warm and inviting restaurant filled with locals, we were not disappointed. From
our entrée to the main dish, the presentation was superb, the tastes sublime and perfect. Not a word was spoken in English, which made the night all the more exciting. They do have menus in English, which was very helpful!!

We did a bunch of research before choosing a Sunday brunch spot for our 3 day visit to QC. We chose this place because of its interesting local menu and great reviews. It is a solid choice and no one was disappointed...but unfortunately we waited a full hour for our food and were famished by the time it arrived. I would have enjoyed my delicious poached eggs with bernaise sauce more without the wait. That said, great waiters, no tourists in sight and yummy fresh juices for the kids. Plus the terrine to star was amazing...

Charming room in a Quebec City neighbourhood away from the tourist throngs. Delightful, attentive service from our server, Sylvan, who found and wrote down the name of the herb that was in our salad, along with all sorts of other niceties. And the food - simply beautiful. The best mixed seafood dish (over rice and summer vegetables) that we’ve ever had in a restaurant. A very special meal!
