Centrally located near the Chateau Frontenac, this is a small hotel with a limited number of rooms. Our room on the first floor was rather small, and when we were staying for four nights it was rather claustrophobic. However we chose it - and overlooked larger rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was well furnished and clean. We were here in September, and it was really hot, so it was good to find fans, and easily opening windows. Well recommended.

This hotel is located across a small park from the Frontenac. It is close to the citadel and within walking of all of the walled part of the city and parts of Quebec just outside the wall. These include a lot of shops.

Our room looked out at the Frontenac (which is where the nearest ATM is located). A beautiful view. All the rooms are different. Ours was #7 Romantique. The room was not huge, but large enough. It had a fridge, iron, hair dryer, and a Kreps coffee maker. It was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was large and had a large spa size tub/shower.

The outer front door is very heavy and hard to hold open while getting up the steps. It helps if someone holds it open for you. The inner front door is usually open.

St. Genevieve is a wide enough street to park in front of the hotel to load/unload the car. There is one hour parking across the street, but getting a place may be difficult. Even though the sign said that parking was for one hour, we saw several vehicles stay there for two days and not get a ticket. We decided not to take the risk and kept our car in the parking garage nearby on Rue Haldimand.

The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The location is perfect. We were high above the river and the views were striking. I would highly recommend the Manoir Sur-le-Cap.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October. The hotel is simple in that it provides the basics and for the location and price, it is a great value.

The hotel is located less than a 2 min walk from Chateau Frontenac and the Terrasse Dufferin. The street is fairly quiet and there is not much traffic. The room we were in (small, one double bed) was pretty small and the bed was not the most comfortable but was not terrible. One feature that I really enjoyed about the hotel is the small balcony that each room has. The windows in the room can open up as a door to let you go onto the balcony which overlooks a small court.

Overall this is a great hotel for short stays. If you are only looking for a room to sleep and get ready in that is close to all major attraction in Old Quebec City then I highly recommend this hotel.

Visited the end of September before a cruise. The staff and room were wonderful. We experienced flight delay and with a simple phone call to the property everything was in place to arrive after midnight and be in our room. Ideal walking to all of the upper and lower city sites. Beautiful small park across the street separates you from from Chateau Frontenac.

Lovely, charming hotel right at the waters edge. Within walking distance to everything.
Room was charming and comfortable on the 4th floor with a great view of the grand hotel Le Frontenac.
Staff were kind and resourceful.

Room Tip: we were on the top floor, it's an old hotel so you do hear floors creaking but we were were not bothered at all.
