The aquarium is large, but not too large in size. Definitely expect to spend a few hours there. My boyfriend and I enjoyed ourselves, walking around looking at all the exhibits and the interactive components were really cool. You can pet sting rays and touch starfish which was super cool, but be warned that this is definitely a family attraction so there will most likely be lots of children. Still definitely worth the trip though! Had tons of fun!

This aquarium has a two indoor pavilions and several outdoor enclosures with large mammals like walruses. There are also arctic foxes and birds of prey. Inside the pavilions are species of Quebec and tropical ones. Only complaint would be the exhibits could use updating and some of the enclosures would benefit from increased cleaning. Parking is free. Expect to spend three hours.

The whole family had fun in general. Beautiful aquariums with a lot of different species. At set times you can watch certain shows outside. The only downside for me was the loss of power (all day) they had the day we visited, only the generators were working. The corridors were lighted a minimum and we could barely see certain fishes. I heard the jellyfish area is completely stunning but we just saw a big whole nothing in the dark. No discount were offered but at least they told us at the entrance. They said we could see with the generator lights though... but really, only the aquarium filters were working and a few litghts here and there for security matter.

Obviously lots of fish to see, but really enjoyed the polar bears, walrus, and seals. Nice indoor and outdoor viewing areas and some outdoor shows.

This little out of the way aquarium is a nice place to visit during your stay in Quebec City. There is a daily shuttle bus from the city, but you cannot chose your time to arrive or depart. I ventured there on the city bus, which was a shorter ride than I was told, even with the road works. Not the greatest aquarium, I was in and out within 2 hours, but it's better than some and definitely better than nothing! The Depths Pavilion building- where the jellyfish and most aquatic animals are- was somewhat disorienting. There are mirrored walls and not enough light - I walked into a wall on more than one occasion as there were lots of people- even on a week day morning. I was able to see the polar bear on a very warm summer day, who didn't seem to be too happy with the weather and seemed forced to be on display. Still, it's a nice treat from the city, and a bit of nature. The half mile walk from the aquarium to the bus stop could be daunting for some- it's all uphill. just make sure to take a break if needed.
