Wow, I did not expect this when I walked in. The place has a really nice decor. The tea and scones are delicious. Way better than I expected.

It surely is pleasant to step into a cozy salon on a Sunday afternoon. The orange lights are comfy, the live piano soothing. Time seems slowed down. I felt like leaving all the worldly things behind.
The fine china is of decent quality, the fact that they are not of a matching set is quite interesting, adding some vivacity to the afternoon. All goes well until the food arrived.
The curried egg (forgot its name) strongly recommended by the waitress (also on top of the menu) and the blueberry scone typical for an English afternoon tea.
In such an elegant environment, The food seems to step up two levels to an extent that it is edible.
If the salon improves the quality I will definitely go back.

Our favourite tea room. Ideal for a rainy Saturday afternoon. The menu never seems to change but that's ok. The sandwiches could be thinner but the Eccles cakes are wonderful!

It was a very sunny, but cold afternoon in Montreal. We were looking for something fun to do, so bundled up and made our way to this eccentric tea house in the Plateau. We climbed the stairs and were delighted to enter this bustling 2-story tea house with many small tables, comfy couches and live piano music.

It was full of happy, chattering people escaping the cold, warming up with one of the delicious tea blends in beautiful tea cups.

The blueberry scones were fantastic (hubby had two!) - they had just the right amount of crunch on the outside and moist flavor on the inside. Also not to miss are the smoked trout sandwiches and lemon squares.

We will definitely be back!
