“Amazing street and stores”
Review of Laurier Avenue

Laurier Avenue
Reviewed 8 June 2015

Many fantastic restaurants and very classy street. It is not for the beer pocket it is expensive and the looks are plentiful. Some of the most fashionable women shop this street. It is amazing for shoes and great looks. I go there often to find things. There are wonderful places to have a coffee and croissant and it is a very charming street.

One of the main streets leading up to and perpendicular to Mont Royal Avenue.

Lots of activity here even though MRA was pretty dead when we finally got there...

There was a lot of street art - a big citywide exhibition, as opposed to graffiti - on corners and in carparks around Laurier, Sant Denis and Rivard, if memory serves.

We got off at the Laurier metro stop, walked towards Parc Sir Wilfrid Laurier, and could see what all the hype was about. A couple of decent coffee shops but not expresso heaven. Maybe the other direction was better but there was no indication.

Laurier St is an emblematic street in Outremont. Lined with cafés and great shopping. Don't miss having a café on the nice terrace of Toi, moi, café. I also recommend the following restaurants for a great typical dinner in Outremont: Chez Levesque ( typical bistro cuisine and decor), Lemeac ( very nice terrace, great cuisine)

There are a few cafes and uninteresting shops. Complete waste of time. This is not a "Rodeo Drive" in Montreal.
