It was a wonderful night at Le Filet. The service was impeccable and the pairing suggestions were right on point. I took a game-set-match service, starting with oysters prepared in three different ways, followed by a wonderful tuna tartar, an exquisite cavatelli with foie gras (one of the best I ever had). It is not surprising to see all the positive reviews on this website for that restaurant as it was truly a night to be remembered for all the right reasons. I am already looking forward to my next opportunity to go to Le Filet.

We went with friends and it turned out to be one of the best and most enjoyable meals we had had in a long time. Every dish was delicious, delicately presented and the service was impeccable.

We did not have a reservation and we were accommodated at the bar. The host and hostess were very nice and tried to get us a table and found us a space at the bar. the oysters are amazing! Would definitely go back!

Arrived at Le Filet last evening expecting a delicious meal knowing this spot was related to one of our favorites, Club Chasse et Pêche - was not disappointed! Service by each member of the team attending to our area was charming, helpful and prompt. Menu choices, although not numerous, were varied and appealing, so difficult to make a choice. The three of us enjoyed ours immensley. The only criticism we had was the noise level and constant thumping of electronic music, which is a downer when you want to have a conversation over dinner but have to shout over voices and drumming sounds. We got over it but wished it was a bit calmer. We’ll definitely be back to try other menu items - surprised ourselves with their onion rings - so unexpected, but yummy!

We began with a couple of starter/appetizers, mine a half dozen St Edwards island oysters (raw on half-shell), and my wife with a tuna tartare jazzed up. My oysters with a jalepeno and maple crunch came with a lot of promise, but did not have as much pop as I expected – perhaps rightly to not over-power the oysters – I still was happy, but not wowed. The tuna tartare on the other hand was described as with an egg confit and nori tempura. It turned out to be very tasty with a bit of a sweet barbeque kind of flavor that buried the tuna, and the tempura was meh… But, as a sort of Italian/Asian fusion kind of place, we both went with pasta mains, and they were fabulous! My wife’s cavatelli-foie gras-veal cheek had a lovely, rich flavor and pasta was perfect. I went with a black linguini with shrimp and baby calamari, that seemed to be more of an angel hair pasta with wonderful sun-dried tomatoes, a nice touch of spicy bite, and totally delicious. We shared an order of garlic oil roasted peapod shoots that were the perfect side, and met our tastes and needs nicely. We had wines by the glass, of which there is a reasonable selection. Not an inexpensive dinner, but totally worth it in the end. For a taste of Italy as seen through an Asian point-of-view, you will not be disappointed.
