I came here on a Sunday night to watch Call Me By Your Name during the Windsor International Film Festival. It was being held at the Chrysler Theatre in the St. Clair Center of Arts. The previous films I’ve seen during the festival: Tom of Finland, Thelma, A Fantastic Woman and BPM were all held at the nearby Capitol Theater. The auditorium of the Chrysler theater was much larger than those at the Capitol Theater. There weren’t able speakers in front of the screen which was also nice. The projector screen was slightly larger than those at Capital Theater, but still not as large as those at actual movie theaters. The seats were decently comfortable (I actually prefer the seats at Capitol Theater more to be honest). I’ve been waiting to see this film ever since it premiered to raves at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. The film was beautiful! It definitely lived up to its massive hype! It’s the best film I’ve seen at the festival and the best film I’ve seen this year without a doubt. I cannot wait to see the film soar during award season! It was a great movie experience! I will most definitely be coming back to next year’s Film Festival and am already looking to it!
