It is unusual in Chinatown in Downtown Toronto to have a restaurant with about three large picture windows to let in light. The view is of an alley with quite pleasant spray painted murals. Why highlight the windows and light in a review? Because it makes for a pleasant atmosphere!
And the food is good! My in-laws, who are Taiwanese and picky about their restaurants, introduced our family to the House of Gourmet. My daughter chose a sliced beef and noodle dish which was our family's favorite. Great shrimp dishes too!
