I arrived there at 8:30 didn't get into the room until 10:30 walked around in the rain then we were in the room for 4 minutes and 4 police officers knocked on our door asking us if we have heard or seen any unusual sounds. We left immediatly and didn't have another place to stay because all the hotels were booked for the film festival! I've travelled alot and I have never ever felt so unsafe.

I don't usually write reviews of hotels, but this was so bad, I wanted to let other people know, and hopefully also the management. Though the management was friendly, I doubt they will take into consideration how untidy and seedy the hotel is. I had booked for five nights, but after two nights just had to change to another hotel (I was refunded for the nights I did not stay). I was disgusted, could hardly put my head down on the pillow and pull the covers over me. The non-smoking rooms smelt of cigarette smoke, the sheets were torn and stained (although they probably were laundered), the bed was not so great, the room had untidy corners, poorly vacumed and cleaned, unpleasant wall to wall carpet, graffiti on some walls. I was looking for budget accomodation, but this was really below the standards of everything I had experienced. It felt like a rip-off.

This is the worst hostel ever. When I first got there they had only put me in for one night when I request 7. I was put in a 3 bed mix when I had asked for a 10bed female. And apparently this was the only dorm in the entire place. The room was directly behind the reception. I was given no key as there was no lock to this room, also no main door key access as it is suppose to apparently be a 24 hour reception, therefore I didn't need a card. I felt totally unsafe at this hostel. I even had some people walk in off the street into my room. So with the room not being able to lock I carried my laptop and all other valuable on me at all times while out and about. My luggage had to be locked at all times. No Security lockers. There was no basic necessities such as a kitchen. I felt like a prisoner in my room. No common room. No TV. There was a microwave which you had to plug into the outlet in the toilet which was allocated to me. Once I had to wait for someone to finish with it before I could use the bathroom.
I had a huge issue with payment. I did not receive my electronic receipt, only their printed receipt. Later on I was then approached to say that they needed to take payment again as the electronic receipt said "communication error". I then prove via internet that it had come out of my account. I asked numerous times to have that receipt photocopied so I could take it to my bank. But they would not give it to me. The next day they still said it had not come through. I then got proof from my bank. It wasn't til1 the 2nd day until they let it go and said everything was ok. I think they were just trying to get money from me twice.
There was only one sheet provide, which was doubled over.
The switch for our room was on the outside of the room, I was woken many times to the light being on.
No luggage storage
AND TO TOP IT OFF I ENDED UP WITH BED BUG BITES. DISGUSTING.........
so did another room mate.
I then cut my stay short and demanded a refund. even then they were trying to hold back on some of it. But I managed to get what was owing to me. They did not offer any compensation for the bed bug issue.

my girlfriend and i have stayed there a few times. the frist time, we were charged 60 bucks and we got a little crappy room, it was ok for the price. dirty, not smelly, a bit of blood on the pillow. good enough for us to go back though. we went back a month later, and there were over booked. so buddy working the desk leans over and says real quietly "i can give you the unfinished basement for 30$, but you gotta help me carry down beds, and you'll have to wait for the night guard to finish sleeping, he lives down there."

it wasnt too bad though, we got a HUGE room with rows and rows of bunk beds. it felt awkward though staying in the security guards private accomidation. we had to be out at 7 AM cause thats when he was relived from shift

hahahahah but either way, whenever i go there, they are nice, and semi - respectfull, and its the type of place you can hot box wiht out hassle

Guys... NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE !

I'm from Montreal, and I went during a college break with some friends.

We were six, and we had two rooms (one with two double beds, the other one with three single).

I have never seen something like that in my entire life ! (and I traveled a lot...)

The rooms are so DIRTY ! Lot of dust everywhere...
Garbages in, and behind the closet...
No linen in one room... and so dirty in the other one with lot of stains on it...
Beds are so bad... Too hard or so soft that you feel the springs...
They are no window in the rooms...
It's so hot that you can't sleep...
That smelt cigarette...
One of the room didn't have bathroom - which is ok, except that the shared one is so so unbelievable ! I can't describe it (we all share the private one in the second room).

The only good point is the location.

Ok it's cheap... but what you have for your money is so so far that what you could expect as a minimum.

Really guys... NEVER !
