“Excellent Toronto Science Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

Excellent Science Center. We planned the attractions out ahead of time starting with the planetarium, then exhibits, I-Max movie, lunch, special exhibit on DaVinci. Used a coupon from a book on "Attractions"

“Fun for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

I love the Science Centre. There are fun science and nature exhibits, great documentaries, and the occasionaly fun pop culture exhibit (Like Harry Potter in 2010.) There are indoor and outdoor activities in good weather. This is a place where you can spend several hours and never get bored. I love this place.

“Great hands on Science experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

You can spend more than one day. Be prepared to walk a lot. Look for the times of demonstrations/special events and plan according to your family interests. You can pack a lunch or at least some drinks and it will cut down on the cafeteria costs. You can eat your outside food in the eating area. There are special exhibit areas just for the younger ones. During March break, expect crowds of kids. Get there at the opening time and you will be ahead of everyone for the first part of the day. If you are local, a membership is probably a good deal and includes 1/2 price parking, 1/2 price Omnimax theatre, 20% off at cafeteria, 10% at science store and no waiting to buy entrance tickets. We were members until last year when our family just seemed to get too old (18+) for the multiple trips each year to be interesting enough. Great for all the school age years, dropping off in the late teens.

“Great for IMAX and younger kids.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

The Science Center is a good place to go with younger children because the newly renovated area is their KidSparks section.  This are has lots of fun and interactive activities but is only open for younger children.  The rest of Science Center is OK but looks the same as it did 20 years ago - it needs to be updated.  It's good for IMAX movies - the movies are all educational and an extra charge but the IMAX experience is pretty good.
