Owner description: At Osgoode Hall Restaurant, we emphasize the connection between the natural food from our land, the farmers that nourish and harvest it, and-ultimately-the people who enjoy it. Unpretentious, welcoming and accessible, our "farm-to-table" cuisine lets you experience spectacular seasonal ingredients, sourced locally from within 100km whenever possible. Our ultimate goal? To create a memorable and unique dining experience-for you and for each one of our guests.

As the cradle of both legal education and the courts in Ontario, this place is a grand hodgepodge of different architectural styles over the last 170 years. Don't miss either the wonderful and impressive Great Library, which was opened by the Prince of Wales in the 1850s by holding a grand ball there, or the old courtroom where a losing litigant proceeded to shoot both the opposing counsel and other party--he's still serving time for murder for doing so in a British Columbia prison!

My husband and I have lived in Toronto for a few years and have been inside Osgoode Hall for a few court cases over the years but today we took an official tour of the building and were quite impressed. The tour guide was a member of the Law Society and very informative. The interior of the building, especially the American Room of the Great Library, was an awesome sight. I highly recommend the tour which took about 45 minutes and was free.
