My teenaged daughter wanted to go somewhere different for Spring Break, so we chose Toronto. We both love history and learning the insider information on places we visit. Adam provided us with both of these things. It was a brisk day, but he kept us moving and gave us places to warm up a bit. Adam is clearly passionate about his adopted city, and history in general, which made the two hour tour fly by! Adam is very engaging and was open to questions from everyone in the group. Not only did he tell us about places in Toronto, he explained the relationship of these places to other places in the world.

As others have said, I would recommend doing this tour early in your stay because Adam will give you some great information on ways to spend your time in the city.

The tour ends at St. Lawrence market, which was amazing! We spent a great deal of time there poking around after the tour.

Thanks again, Adam for a great experience!

We arranged the walk quite late in the evening when we had arrived from the UK thinking we may have left it too late but Adam responded very quickly and booked us on his tour. It was so informative and Adam really knew his history and obviously loves the area. He was happy to answer any questions. It was quite a small group which is great and he was happy to provide recommendations for other places to visit and lots of affordable restaurants. We learnt a lot and had a really good time despite the cold wind.it was a good start to our very first visit to Canada.

Thanks so much for the incredible review! Smaller groups are my passion and make for a far better tour sometimes.

Glad you enjoyed everything and a welcome to Canada.

Myself and two girlfriends wanted to tour the downtown area without much effort. Adam was fantastic!!! He walked us all OVER the city and even offered to give us a bit of an extra tour since we were so interested in Gastown. He answered questions, walked backwards while talking so he was always facing us, and made sure we were having fun. He was sarcastic and upbeat and a perfect gentleman. Adam stopped at areas great for photography pointed out areas that were featured in major movies, and took us to a small unknown spot that gave us a free souvenir. He knew so much history about the creation of Toronto. The perfect ending was where the tour physically ended... at a massive two floor indoor market for lunch... PERFECT! The tour is free, but at the end you should tip him. He doesn't make mention of it at all and he was quick to disappear in order for it not to feel awkward. He was the best tour guide I could have asked for. TIP HIM WELL!

Wow what a thorough and remarkable review for me!

You all clearly loved your tour.

Corktown is the neighbourhood I think you meant to say and sometimes if the time works we do get to see the edge of that area, but most of the time not so that was a nice treat yes.

Thanks very much again!

A great tour, and full-on for 2 hours, by Adam, who lives in the area and makes many tested recommendations for food, entertainment. He has so much to tell, he even walks backwards on crosswalks, in order to face the group and continue his guidance, wow! Thanks, Adam. I was with a 13 year-old and she loved the experience.

Thanks so much for the awesome review!

It was a nice small group that morning and I remember the smile on the young ladys face at the end, so it's nice to hear she genuinely enjoyed!

Walking backwards is definitely an art yes.

All the best and safe travels
