The price fix menu is great and well priced.

We sampled the cauliflower app is was outstanding as was the apple butternut squash soup.

The rib steak and trout were both exceptionally good. The accompanying sides were delicious and the presentation very creative.

The sugar tart was delectable and the cheese plate locally sourced and very good.

Service is polished and professional.

The wine list is short and in need of attention.

The staff were very friendly & the food was excellent. Their gazpacho soup is different from what is usually meant by this name, with a corn component, & it was delicious. the Nordic trout was perfectly cooked with very interesting & tasty accompaniments. The dessert, which was a mixture of the Broken Sugar Tart & Crème Brulee was a wonderful end to the meal. It is clear that the chef, Roddy, cares about his creations & is good at blending flavours.

Have always looked forward to a dinner here when in town for theater, and the food is still quite good, but service is even slower now that they have doubled the size of the restaurant but the kitchen is still just a small galley. Be prepared to wait between 30-45 minutes for your entree after the appetizer has been cleared. We had to wait 45 min. We had made a 5:30 pre-theater reservation so we'd have the option of 3 leisurely courses but had to gulp down the main course and no time for dessert. I hope they can work out the kinks, but not sure about next year.

My wife and I are active, theatre loving octogenarians who also search out interesting food experiences. This year on our annual visit to Stratford, we heard about "Bijou". Anticipating an excellent food experience, our expectations were exceeded. For 19 years Bijou has featured creatively prepared "Farm to table" cuisine, supporting local farmers and suppliers.
As the two of us age our food preferences are for smaller or shared entres, with a variety of tastes. Bijou has introduced for a total cost of $50.00/person, what they call 'shareable Food Flight platters' from which a minimum of two guests choose 6 of 10 options, including dessert, served individually and shared. For us it was 'perfect' and was a real treat. The sixth item turned out to be 'one too many' for our consumption, but they insisted on neatly packaging it for us to take back to our rooms for snacks the next day.
The staff who attended us, Mindy and Sam were personable and attentive, each making us feel we were special guests. Need I say more? We will be back!

We went for our anniversary and all was good - nothing bad, including the price. Very reasonable. The service was good - very pleasant and got us out to the show on time. it was a bit "squishy" and they forgot a few things when the food came, but no biggie. Just not as great as I was hoping.
