I had friends staying there for 10 days. Great value for the money. . They stayed in the two bedroom suite overlooking the lake. Staff very friendly.
Excellent location. Walking distant to Go trains to downtown Toronto. and all the little shops and pubs right there. Nice walks in the parks, across from the Library and community center. 24 hour Rabba and a grocery store across the street.

Room Tip: Two bedroom suite with view on Lake Ontario is the way to go (on third floor or above)

I stayed there one night (after booking a week due to a death an impending death in the family). The suites are sparse, in poor physical condition, flimsy door locks and thin walls, dirty frig and the desk staff leave at seven pm. I was surprised that the city allowed the building to be used as it felt like a fire trap. I also appeared to be a place that social services use to house families. I am not someone with fussy or fancy expectations, but if you need a suite do a search on google for short or long term suites rentals and you can find much superior places in the area at the same price. I got out of there after 1 night taking a three night penalty to get out of the booking.

Room Tip: if you don't want a hotel, do your research to find a good quality furnished suite for a one week or more stay

Stayed here in the month of May 2011, not a fancy place, but worth the value for money, located in a central area overlooking the port credit lake, the building looks quite old but the rooms are quite spacious & clean. Recommend you if you are traveling on a budget.

Room Tip: Take the lake facing room !!!

My partner and I were told about this place by a friend, and decided to check it out. The price seemed reasonable, considering that it was furnished. We went and looked at the single room - low floor, city view - absolute nightmare! stains on the carpets, dirty bedding, dingy smell... so we checked out a single bedroom delux - mucho better!! new bed, new furniture (Ikea!) and a full, functioning kitchen. clean over all - no bugs - great lake view! again, for the price, and what its needed for, its doable. yes, there seem to be a lot of new canadians using this place as they settle elsewhere. in that aspect, it's not really a "hotel," but it is classified as one, and i think that's the biggest thing people need to realize.

Room Tip: the higher floors, and lake views are worth it. also, if you're hard to please, upgrade to the delux rooms

I needed a short term accommodation traveling to office situated near Clarkson GO station. After much of a search i moved in to Ports Hotel. First I checked in to a 1 bedroom suite (City facing) and was not able to stay for an hour and changed to 2 bedroom suite (City facing ) thinking it will be better. It was as bad as the previous one.

Below are the list of issues that i faced:

- room that I got had a broken ceiling near the entrance and the iron bars were rusted and visible outside

- you cannot use balcony due to very bad maintenance. Lots of dove nest and pew

- no temperature control: night was cold and day time was hot

- furniture's were dirty

- window blinds were broken. used a tape to temporarily hold it

- the walk area to the hotel is dirty and it smells badly

- garbage suit not available , you have to climb down and throw garbages in a small thrash bin in parking lot

- oily floor(sticky if you walk bare foot)

- very small elevator, maximum only 4 adults can use comfortably

- tiny kitchen

- A/C faces kitchen. If switched on, Kitchen will be the only place to be cool

- tiny washroom

- heard lot of noise for next room

- no room service

- no hot water for the day that I stayed

- no good tv channel to watch

Good things:

- very good staffs, very helpful at times

- no frills and Rabba opp to hotel and ATMs

- good connectivity to Toronto: Very near to GO station and Mississauga transit hub

-Near to lake
