There are so many restaurants in Kingston that it is hard to choose. We wandered past and decided on a whim to try it. Well worth it. The restaurant and pub appear to occupy most of the block...you can't decide which door to enter. lol. Other reviews say the place was dirty but we did not find it so.
The service was good, wait staff pleasant and knowledgeable. We tried the beer bread as an appetizer. It was great!! We had shepherds pie and Guiness pie. Both were wonderful. Crust was flaky and mashed potatoes were excellent. Beer was good as is most Irish beer.

We came to Kingston to "treasure hunt" at the flea and antique markets. Stopped here for a great lunch, right across from he market. Food was great!! The stuffed yorkies were the favorite, but the fish and chips and pub platter were pretty awesome too. Biggest pieces of fish we've ever had!

Great pub food, I love shepherd pie, that what I had on my last visit on May 20. Music is some time good and other time could be better.

We stopped here solely because of the Irish name. We're from the east coast and love all things that remind us of home.

Pub is dark which gives it a nice ambiance for dinner but feels a little strange in the middle of the day.

Food was good and I devoured my veggie burger.

Waitress was friendly and attentive.

If we had time, we would have liked to return for an evening of entertainment on their stage. Next time.

While in Kingston on a driving trip we stopped at Tir Nan Og for dinner. The restaurant is dark, looks like a pub n Old Ireland. The food was fresh, excellent and the service was very good. My wife had a stacked cod sandwich which was bountiful and expertly prepared. I had Fish and Chips and that too was outstanding. Both fish dishes were not greasy and the salads with the meals were made with fresh ingredients. The ambience of the Pub is minimal in appearance but the food is at the top. We were able to get two herbal teas. A true find in an out of the way city.
