Stopped here for a Novemburger after an absolutely crazy day. Great respite I must say. Most attentive wait staff, cold beer and a most enjoyable red wine. It was great to have various accompaniment choices with our Novemburgers. Courtney came around and wondered if we would like to take part in the football pool. We had great fun choosing our squares as well. Darned if we didn't a little $$$ on the football pool. Sounds like a great excuse for another evening out, not that we need an excuse to return to Ray's. Excellent staff, great vibe also. Definitely our kind of place. Keep up the great work all!!!

Everyone was saying we should try Ray's Place and they were right. We went for breakfast and the restaurant is really comfortable. It looks like it is really a sports bar and probably has a good crowd in the afternoons for football etc. Had the 2 eggs, pea meal bacon and the serving size was large and excellent value. The only problem was the potatoes were not too hot and they should put the food on HOT plates would work a lot better.
But all in all a great place, will have to come back in the evening and try their fish and chips or the liver and onions.

EdgarOrangutan here with one more update on Ray's Place. I was in there on one of their wing nights (80 cents per wing- still a bit pricey for a special) The wings were good, but their sauce is bland. A traditional wing sauce is made with pepper sauce like Durkee's or Frank's, butter, a touch of vinegar etc. Ray's sauce is not like that. And they don't have traditional barbeque sauce (like Bullseye) either. Why not? Very odd. Anyway, please check the temperature of the beer -- serve it very cold, not cool.
Otherwise Ray's seems to be doing well, and is a popular place in the neighborhood.
