As you would expect this place is really popular on weekends with the brunch crowd.
The eggs benedict on a bagel with hashbrowns.
-hashbrowns are delicious light and fluffy inside, crunchy and flavoured on the outside.
-Hollandaise was a bit bland, it could have used both lemon and salt.

The quirky decor is wonderful in my opinion and worth visiting solely for that.

The food here for breakfast is awesome! I enjoyed the Canadian Omelet. It was a bit overwhelming in size but loaded with cheese, bacon, and ham. Nonetheless, it was worthy of a hungry appetite first thing in the morning. The order also included toast and plenty of hash browns which were also exceptionally good! The extra-large coffee mugs filled with plenty of great coffee are a welcome addition to the great service and cozy atmosphere. This is a very convenient location if you are on the St. John’s downtown core area either just exploring or shopping. It is a few minutes walk from Mile One Centre and also within stone’s throw of Water Street area. Plenty of on-street, metered parking which is free on the weekends. The restaurant is also very close, as in walking there, to the Alt Hotel, Quality Inn and other places you might be staying in St. John’s downtown.

Interesting breakfast spot with huge variety. Classic breakfasts were great. Hashbrowns are crazy good. A little more expensive compared to other breakfast options, but worth it plus generous portions.

I cannot comment on the food, just the service. Twice in the past week we have tried to have dinner at Bagel Cafe. The first time they said they were closing early, and tonight we waited 5 minutes And were not yet seated so left To have dinner at Piatto. While 5 minutes might not seem a lot, there were only 4 other people in the restaurant, so they were not busy. We are pleased with Piatto.

This restaurant in downtown St. John's has great seafood and a wonderful atmosphere for conversation over a good dinner. I ate there several times during my stay in St. John's, and I was never disappointed! Service is good, too!
