Actually came across this place while looking for a pub on Duckworth. It was busy and looked fun so we passed on the pub and went in to Piatto. A GREAT decision. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pizza was super as well as good wine and beer.

I had high hopes coming to this establishment and looked forward to trying authentic Italian pizza close to home. For a lunch on a Saturday it was very disappointing. My partner and I both had what the menu referred to as a 'americano' which was nothing more than a little coffee with some boiled water from the kettle it seemed. Caesar salads lacked flavor and crispness. While the dough on our pizza was good as well as the sauce, it had barely any toppings. Service could also be improved with no drink refills. Defenitly not what I had in mind for a $40+ lunch for two.

It is unfortunate that I will unlikely eat here again.

We found the Piatto on Duckworth Street from a review and decided to give it a try as it was close to our accommodations. The place was busy and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered the pizza special and it included a topping of sliced steak. Much of the steak was grizzle and fat from an overcooked piece of flank steak so the result was not great. The service was better than average and the bar is well stocked and nicely set up. Perhaps we hit an off night.
