This is Moncton's only pub with a true Irish menu. Lots of traditional food to try plus some regular pub favorites. If you can get one of the "Snugs" at the back of the pub - do so (as long as there are no more then 4 in your group. This time I had one of their Boxty. It is steak, mushrooms, onion and gravy stuffed inside a pancake / crepe. The menu says bread but I think a wholewheat crepe describes it best. Get that with a side of mashed and you have a hearty meal. Wash it all down with one of the many pints they have on tap. I also recommend the meatloaf on mashed. Another meal you won't walk away from hungry. Often there is a live Celtic band which just adds to the overall charm of this place. In the summer months they have outside seating as well. Overall, the service is friendly and attentive. If the kitchen gets slow, they make sure you are not thirsty. Easy walk to the Avenir Center as well.

We decided to go to an old standard in Moncton on our way home from seeing the fall colours. I was hungry for a corn beef and cabbage meal and my wife had the pulled pork. What a disapointment. The Corn beef was smoked meat in a soup bowl with some vegetables and a bit of uncooked cabbage. The atmosphere and service was excellent however the food is not up to par as it was in the past.
A big disappointment.

Just walked in, expecting downtown to be dead, only to see there's musicians playing away with tons of local enjoying their Sunday drinks.

I eat here a few times a year. In the fall/winter/spring they have music “sessions” Sundays from 4 to 6(?). Not sure of the time exactly. I love their Curry Chips with Mushy Peas! Their menu is very authentic & the decor is very Irish.

So glad we popped into this Irish pub. Our bartender/waiter Dan was awesome, very personable and informative. He gave us lots of info on the menu and things to do and places to go in the area. Tired and hungry after a long day of cycling it was a perfect place to go. The scallops were excellent and Bruce enjoyed his chowder!
Thanks so much!
