Central location is great, easy access to any direction you want to go. Food , service, staff & room were great. We have stayed here many times & are never disappointed. The only comment might be the construction, but we just parked in the east parking lot, which worked out great for us.

Hotel is in the process of upgrading. Some parts seem quite nice, other areas looked very worn. We used the airport shuttle to get to the hotel, it was about a 15 minute wait at the airport. Check-in was easy, and staff was polite and helpful. Our room (one king bed) was clean, the bed comfy, and pillows great. The bathroom was small, tub, toilet and sink in a small space with little counter space. We did not use the pool, but the pool area looked clean. The pool is small, with a water slide exiting directly into the small pool. Hot tub was available as well. We rented a car and found that while there is lots of parking, it is either behind the hotel or across the street. The street is single lane traffic, but busy. A big advantage to this hotel is that is is so close to Polo Park Shopping Centre and all of the surrounding restaurants. Less than a five minute walk has you in the mall, or at one of the many restaurants.

The room was freezing when we arrived.
There was dried food on the table where we ate.
Our room was beside the pool and there were screaming children until after 10:00PM.
Room service sent a wrong item so we had to go to the dining room to change it.
Staff told us there was ice on every floor but there isn't.
When checking out the desk didn't tell us the parking lot was blocked off for construction. A worker told us we could walk on the road into one way oncoming traffic to get to the car. We didn't.
The door stuck and was hard to open.

Dear bevs678,

Thank you for taking the time to review your last stay with us. I have addressed your concerns with our staff to improve our guest experience. I do apologize for the room being freezing when you arrived. We do try to have our rooms at a comfortable temperature and our cooling is adjustable in each room. I will also discuss your comment about the traffic with our construction company - we are trying to minimize the effect on our guests.

I do hope you will consider using the Viscount Gort Hotel on your next stay.

Sincerely,

Staff could have warned us that the rooms above and across from us were under construction. Not great for sleeping in.
Other than construction noise the room was pretty good. Really didn't like looking out window onto a stair way.

To start with we were told our stay included parking until we return in 3 days for another nights stay, apparently there is an additional charge for that, the free wifi password has to be reentered if your phone goes to sleep and then it doesn't accept the password, the included hot served breakfast is an outright lie and the windows are as soundproof as paper and the hotel is overlooking route 90, have never been in a room this loud before.

Room Tip: avoid the rooms on the west side at a minimum, not sure the east side would be any better but there would at least be less traffic.

Dear Tom T,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your first night stay. I do apologize for the confusion regarding the long term parking - the hotel does provide complimentary parking for our hotel guests and there is a minimal long term parking fee for guests traveling. I understand that the front desk has discussed this with you and you were not charged. Our complimentary WiFi does require our guests to log back in after a period of inactivity which allows for faster speeds for our guests on line. I believe our front desk staff did explain the complimentary breakfast error regarding your booking. I do apologize for the road noise you experienced and an adjustment has been made to your return night stay. The entire exterior of the Viscount Gort is being refreshed in an effort to combat external sound which should be completed by fall.
I hope you enjoy your return night stay in one of our rooms on the west side of the hotel.

Sincerely,

Chris Dubberley
